講演予稿:
郵政省通信総合研究所では日米科学技術協力協定のもと、アラスカ大学地球物理
研究所等との共同により、アラスカ・ポーカーフラットにおける中層大気観測プ
ログラムを実施している。1992年より10年以上の計画予定期間で開始された。北
極域アラスカにおける中層大気をその風速、気温、微量成分、電離大気擾乱とい
った多種類の側面を総合的に観測し、北極域アラスカにおける中層大気の振舞い
を明らかにすることを目指している。1998年度からミリ波ラジオメータ、ファブ
リ･ペロー干渉計(FPI)、MFレーダー、レーリーライダー、FTIR、イメージングリ
オメータの6種類の装置が現地に揃う。今年度1999年冬季にはオゾンゾンデキャン
ペーンが予定され、アラスカ大主担当による熱圏観測キャンペーンへの参加も
予定されている。
abstract:
Our program of the technology development and Arctic middle
atmosphere (MA) observation at Poker Flat, Alaska, has started in
1992 with planned period of >10 years. In FY1998, millimeter-wave
radiometer, Fabry-Perot interferometers, MF radar, and FTIR will
start operation at Poker Flat, together with Rayleigh lidar and
imaging riometer. Our draft goals under discussion are;1)monitoring
the Alaskan stratospheric ozone and related chemistry 2) physics of
and effects to the radiation budget of arctic cirrus clouds 3)
atmospheric waves in the arctic MA 4) effects of solar activity and
/or magnetospheric energetic particles to the thermosphere and MA
5) propagation of thermospheric disturbances to mid/lower latitudes.
