abstract:
Broadband spectral structures of the Broadband Electrostatic Noise
BEN) have been the main difficulties to study its generation
mechanism.The Geotail waveform observations of the BEN revealed that
the solitary waveforms called Electrostatic Solitary Waves (ESW)
mainly contribute to the high frequency portion of the BEN spectra.
On the other hand, the low frequency component of the BEN have
different natures from those of the ESW. For example, the electric
field polarization of the low frequency component is perpendicular
to the ambient magnetic field.In the present paper,we will introduce
the natures of the low frequency component of the BEN and discuss
their generation mechanisms.
